Clinical Study on Paragonimiasis

Abstract
|
|
|
The author studied on the efficacies of chloroquine diphosphate, emetine hydrochloride with chloroquine
diphosphate and thistoming to paragonimiasis. The following results were obtained,
1. Given in the daily dose of 30mg/kg B. W. of thistoming every other day,
The eggs in sputum completely disappeared, bloody sputum stopped and clinical symptoms improved but
showed the mild side effects.
2. Patients who gave 0. 75gm, of chloroquine diphosphate daily for 20 days revealed no efficacies in clingcal symptomes and signs.
3. Administrate the chloroquine diphosphate 0. 75gm. with emetine hydrochloride 60mg. daily for 10 days and rest for 10 days and repeat the administration for 10 days. The eggs in sputum disappeared from 10 to 31 days.
4. Thistoming is the most efficacious against paragonimiasis than emetine hydrochloride with c ioroquine diphosphate and chloroquine diphospl ate.
